I'm currently stuck between Normal+ and Hard- myself. I have decided to go with Middle Speed which is pretty fast for an old focker like me with Normal+ CPU Pitch Difficulty. I am not seeing too many performances on Normal+ with 14% BP% though more fall under 10% but Missed Releases are also well under 10 per game. An out is an out and for me it is very difficult to place the cursor with any great precision on Middle Speed. I can hit the ball for sure and very solidly but it seems most go to fielders for easy outs. On Hard- I was striking out so much that the game ceased to be any fun. So an intermediate level between Normal+ and Hard- would be welcome. I don't like using pitch speed under Middle it just seems so slow.

The few games that I played using Hard- the pitcher had 30-37% BP% with 0 or 1 Missed Releases. I just cannot deal with that currently.

You must've been playing on Hard, not Hard Minus. As you can see in the charts Hard Minus ranges from 12-18% BP while Hard level is in the 30% range.

I also hit alot of hard hit balls right to a defender - and I know MileHigh has the same problem. Something to keep an eye on, not sure what it means because I didn't feel that way about 2010/2011.

Know what? You are probably right I just figured if I couldn't hit Hard- worth a lick why not see what a level up was like. I found I could get 3 hits on Hard as well as Hard-. So for me the shrunken strike zone on this year's Normal+ is kinda close to the old strike zone.

Problem with Normal + is that you wont get any walks. It's disappointing that Hard Minus is so difficult this year.

thanks for taking the time to do this. very interesting results.

i definitely experience more walks against guys with very good downward breaking pitches (like a fork or vertical slider). they really want to make you chase so if u just lay off u get a lot of walks.

Great work Vern, thanks very much.

I'm still on 2011, but am sticking with Hard- CPU pitching, real batting point at Basic+ speed for a while. Enjoying the long pitch counts and trying to draw walks aspects that I'd been missing on easier pitching levels.

So true, and you better learn how to hit low pitches in general since nothing will be coming over the middle.

I have tried hard- and hard and I am seeing the most walks and the most chances to walk on hard. Especially after the update (could be placebo). You may have to drop pitch speed a notch to have time to recognize pitches better.

Edit: yeah that pitch that starts low and just drops to ground at the very end just gets my blood boiling. I know it's coming and still swing at.
